Imo State Gov, Uzodinma’s home set on fire, some burnt to death

The country home of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has been set ablaze.
The vast house located at Omuma on Oru East Local Government area of Imo State was engulfed by fire this morning.
Sources said the attackers came in the morning armed with heavy weapons
“We dont know if the house was attacked by a bomb. Certainly it was a well coordinated attack” a security official told Irohinoodua in Owerri.
He said some occupants died during the attack.
‘I saw some burnt bodies outside the home of the Governor. The fire was difficult to put down’ the source told Irohinoodua
Though the immediate cause of the latest attack could not be ascertained, the South East has seen upswing in rebellious attack against state infrastructures and individuals perceived to be opposed to the growing agitation for self determination in the oil rich region.
However another source said the attack may have been executed by what he described as “rogue intelligence” working for people determined to blackmail the self determination groups
A police source said most security operatives working in Eastern Nigeria are so scared of the growing unrest that they find it difficult to put on their official uniforms
