Chinese Govt presents Tinubu with development strategies to boost Nigeria economy

The Chinese government has extended its support to President, Bola Tinubu

The Asian giant says the jesture is to ensure proper strategies that will help the country achieve robust economy.

The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun also presented a comprehensive package to Nigeria in economic recovery.

The package was delivered during a meeting with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, on Monday.

He said the past five decades and especially after the establishment of the strategic partnership in 2005, the all-dimensional, wide-ranging and high-quality bilateral cooperation has been a pacesetter in China-Nigeria cooperation. In recent years, under the strategic guidance and personal attention of President Xi Jinping and Nigeria Past President, Muhammadu Buhari, the brotherly relationship between China and Nigeria has reached new heights unmatched in history, bringing tangible benefits to our two countries and peoples.

The Director of Information, OSGF, Willie Bassey in a statement made available to Irohinoodua said Cui Jianchun presented three documents which contain development strategies that Nigeria could adopt for a rapid economy growth.

Speaking at the meeting, Cui Jianchun, assures Nigeria/China continues relationship and promised its full support for the new administration led by Bola Tinubu.

He said, “The documents contain a developmental strategy that serves as a blueprint for the development of the country. He emphasised the strategies would cover the following areas: Infrastructure, ICT, industrialisation investment, security, technology, and agriculture, among others.

“He expressed his readiness and commitment to work with the present administration and further deepen the bilateral relations between the two nations.”

Akume who said Nigeria and China have been enjoying a good relationship from the past decades also uses the medium to thank for their massive investment in Nigeria.

He said, We want to thank your country for the massive investment in the areas of infrastructure in this country. Nigeria got a soft loan from your country and carefully invested in rail transportation and road transportation. The differences are becoming quite clear.

“And we expect more investments and I believe that is why you are here with your businessmen as well. Any assistance you are giving us, we will step up because of the desire of the present government to do a lot. We will be expecting support from you from time to time.”

You won’t regret it; before you know it, you will find many Nigerians speaking your language. We look forward to the time we will also establish faculties in Nigerian universities where the Chinese language would be taught to students,” Akume said.
