I’m sorry, Martins Otse begs Falana

By Jubril Ayinla

The man who claimed he has a video recording suspecting human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN) Mr Femi Falana sought pardon for Idris Okuneye has apologised to the right activist.

Nicknamed VeryDarkMan, Otse in reports made available to Irohinoodua said he was sorry for ‘Offensive, Derogatory Bribery Allegations’ he made on the social media.

He had attempted to link Falana with allegations that Bobrisky sought legal assistance for a Presidential pardon at the cost of N10m.

Many lawyers and human rights activists had risen in solidarity with Falana who is also a leading opposition figure, with some alleging that the report was part of a grandplan to smear his hardearned reputation.

Otse said “Apparently now, some people are taking the advantage of what is going to target Femi Falana.

On Monday Otse tendered his “unreserved apology” to human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, on the incidence.

VeryDarkMan on Monday also appeared before the Nigerian House of Representatives.

He said he doubted the allegations he raised in the voice clip against Falana.

He said: “Apparently now, some people are taking the advantage of what is going to target Femi Falana.

Speaking further, he said “Here I apologise, it’s so sad that his name was inside that audio, I couldn’t believe as well; that is the part that irritated me more which I said I refuse to believe that he is a party to something like that.”
Falana’s lawyers had dismissed the report as tissues of lies.

In a latter signed by Taiwo E. Olawanle, Esq., the senior lawyer dismissed VeryDarkMan reports that Falana “spoke to Bobrisky in order to divert justice.”

The House of Representative also invited Bobrisky who sent his lawyer.
