By Samuel Ogunsona

Juju Music maestro, Ebenezer Fabiyi (Obey) has finally spoken, puting to rest rumours of his death.

In a video chat obtianed by Irohinoodua, Ebenezer Obey said he is okay and healthy.

‘Ko si nkan to semi, alaafia ni mo wa,” meaning “Nothing is wrong with me, im in good health”

Accompanied by his son, Obey then sang for the benefit of millions of his fans across the world.

Obey was rumoured to have passed on in a London hospital today.

But close family sources told Irohinoodua that Obey is alive and in high spirit.

“Nothing is wrong with Obey. He is well and in good condition” one of his top church members told Irohinoodua this evening.

The source said reports indicating that Obey has died did not pass through the basic process of verification.

“The Church will respond fully this weekend. I want to assure you that it is not yet time for Obey to live the stage” the reliable source who does not wish to be named told our correspondent.

Obey is 78. He is of Yoruba stock (Owu). He married Juliana Olaide Olufade in 1963. His wife, known as Lady Evangelist Juliana Obey-Fabiyi, died at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on 23 August 2011, aged 67. They have several children and grand children.
