Olu Jacobs no longer there for me, Joke Silva, wife of ailing actor speaks

Renowned star, Oludotun Bayeiwu Jacobs popularly known as Olu Jacobs is alive but no longer available to make his family beautiful as he used to do in the past, his long standing wife, Joke Silva has revealed.
Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva spoke of the pain and anguish in her marriage following her husband’s ailment.
Olu Jacobs is a world class actor and had featured in many British films
Olu Jacobs suffers dementia which makes it difficulr to recognise even his children and loved ones
He is now 80.
Silva, in an interview with popular media personality and actress, Nancy Isime, said Olu Jacobs’ health challenges has diminished him
She said looking at her brings back nostalgia of great and wonderful moments treasured by the family
She said: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 percent of the time is no longer there.
Speaking further, she said “But the thing is this, when he was there, he was an incredible father to his children and an amazing husband, he was practically my best friend.
“The husband I knew is no longer there for me, but this man that is here is someone I still love.”
