FG declares Tuesday, Wednesday public holidays to mark Eid-El Fitr as Tinubu arrives Lagos

The Nigeria Federal Government has declared two days public holidays to mark Islam’s Eid-el-Fitr
Celebration.

In a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the FG declared Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th April, 2024 as Public Holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitr Celebration.

The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu left Abuja on Sunday to Lagos where he is expected to mark the holiday, Presidency sources said. Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja on Thursday.

The Minister uses the opportunity to congratulate Muslims Ummah across the Country for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.

“The Minister wishes all Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration and prays that the peace, blessings, and favor of Allah be with everyone and our Great Nation,” he stated.
