
Gunmen kidnap wife of Ondo Governor, Akeredolu’s Chief of staff

Gunmen have seized wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu
Mrs Ale, whose husband, Olugbenga Ale is the Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu was abducted by armed men in Ondo State.
Sources close to Irohinodua said the kidnappers were “armed herdsmen who did not speak the language of the indigenous people.”
The middle aged woman was have kidnapped in the outskirts of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
A family source the kidnappers have been talking to the woman’s husband and that negotiation for her release on-going.
“She was kidnapped in Owena area of Akure. The kidnappers are likely to be connected to the same group that killed the Olufon of Ifon” one source told Irohinoodua in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The source said the incidence took place on Thursday night while the woman was returning from an event.
The kidnap came barely 24 hours after the kidnap and killing of the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi.
A police official told Irohinoodua that the incidence was being investigated.
“We have been informed about the kidnap of the woman. The police will do everything possible to unravel the people behind the kidnap. The Governor and the Police Command are working with the communities to locate the kidnappers and their victims”, the police source said
