State Governors supporting the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole met all night in Abuja till early morning today with a resolution to give full support to the Chairman and prevent the National Executive Meeting, (NEC) slated for Tuesday from hacking him.
The pro-Oshiomhole governors met last night at the Kano State Lodge in Abuja.
A source at the meeting told Irohinoodua that it was to articulate how to counter the anti-Oshiomhole group at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled to hold tomorrow.
At the meeting were Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Umar Ganduje (Kano), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Gboyega Oyetola (Osun). Others at the meeting were Minister of State, Budget and National Planning Prince Clem Agba; former Minister of Works Chris Ogiemwonyi; House of Representatives Deputy Leader Peter Akpatason, House member Prof. Julius Ihonvbere and a former member, Abdul Oroh.
Also on Sunday, some APC leading members passed a vote of confidence in Oshiomhole.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Monday is set to hear the appeal filed by Oshiomhole who is challenging his suspension by an Abuja High Court.
The Abuja Court presided over by Justice Danlami Senchi had granted an order of interlocutory injunction stopping Comrade Oshiomhole from parading himself as the National Chairman of the APC pending the hearing and determination of the suit seeking to give effect to the suspension order slammed on him by his ward in Edo State. They took the position during an interactive session in Abuja.
