By Ologeh Joseph Chibu

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hakeem Baba-Ahmed as Special Adviser on Political Matters (VP’s office).

He is expected to, in part, work with the President on political matters. The position was previously occupied by Senator Babafemi Ojudu.

Hakeem Baba Ahmed is also the spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum

He is the senior brother to Labour Party Vice Presidential Candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Datti Baba-Ahmed had been very critical of the President. Immediately after the February 25 election,he urged former President Mohammadu Buhari not to hand over power to Tinubu saying the election was marred by malpractices.
