Gen Oladipo Diya loses wife to COVID-19

Former Chief of General Staff, Lt-Gen Oladipo Diya (rtd) has lost his wife to the Coronavirus pandemic, Irohinoodua learnt on Tuesday evening
Our correspondent was informed that she finally gave up the ghost after an intensive battle by doctors to save her life failed.
A competent source said Otunba Shade is Diya’s second wife, and had died of complications arising from COVID – 19
She was said to have died at the Cardiologists located at Ikoyi in Lagos
One source said the General and many members of his family have been on isolation since his wife tested positive. .
The health status of Gen Diya could not be ascertained as at press time but another source tols our correspondent that Diya was in good health.
But another family source told Irohinoodua that Diya had been tested and that the result was negative
“General Diya lost his beloved wife, Folasade yesterday to the virus and quite unfortunately, most members of his household are affected” a source sair
Irohinoodua was informed that the Diya house located at the GRA Ikeja has been fumigated.
General Oladipa Diya was the deputy president of Nigeria from November 1993 to December 1997 when he was arrested by the late General Sani Abacha government and charged for treason.
