Former spokesperson of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta, (MEND) and ally of Chief Government Ekpemokpolo (Tompolo) has accused the ex-militant of mass murder.
In a clip made available to Irohinoodua Jude Gboboyor who was a close ally of Tompolo and once the spokesperson of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, (MEND) also accused Tompolo of running an extensive detention camp characterised by rape, assault and enslavement of many Nigerians from different parts of the country.
He said many people believed to be missing are in the camp or may have been killed by Tompolo’s men.
He said he and others are collecting evidence to take the case to the International Criminal Court, ICC in the Hague.
In the full video made available to Irohinoodua, he said he suspected the Nigerian mainstream media are quite simply because of the wrap around adverts given to them worth millions of Naira.
He said, “I heard you are regretting for releasing those people because they’ve started testifying against you. Unfortunately for you, this same fear makes you kill Mr. Charlse, send Joshua on the 19, November 2024 from Bayelsa state to the grave.”
He continued, “You knew the boy will testify against you. You killed him due to that fear, but to your greatest surprise, that thing you are scared of is standing in front of you.”
He argued that many disturbing videos are in in the store already, some of them are videos that “you won’t be able to sleep at night when you watch, we will push them out, no stone will be left unturned, we will push them out to the public to know the kind of person you are, Tompolo” he stated.
He urged people to remain steadfast and fearless, as Tompolo’s threats hold no power over them.
He further stated that people should take a stand against his atrocities.
He assured that Tompolo will be held accountable for his crimes.
He said, “I want to encourage you all and tell you that Tompolo will not be able to do anything to you.
“So, take Tompolo through the right channel, drag him legally. He should pay for his crime.”
He said there a lot of Ijaw people in Tompolo’s prison, also Itsekiri and Urhobo and Hausa as well.
He said the fight is not about Ijaw and Itsekiri or Urhobo or Hausa, it’s about Tompolo against Humanity.
“This is a global crime. No one can advise him.
“Some security men were sent to investigate about Tompolo’s prison, during the investigation, he took his prison men and ran to the forest due to the information he got,” he added.
In another clip, an alleged victim of Tompolo was seen narrating how he was detained and tutored by Tompolo’s men.
The victim said hundreds of people are kept in Tompolo’s private prison and that women are frequently raped including married women whose husbands are either killed or maimed by armed members of Tompolo’s army.
He said several people have been killed either for rituals or thrown into the sea when they stand up against the Niger Delta militant.
Irohinoodua was unable to receive responses to the questionnaire sent to Tompolo’s media official as at press time.
