FG wants Canada to punish Amaka for hate video

The Canadian Government has been asked to punish one Amaka Patience Sonnberger for inciting video against particular ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) wants the Canadian Government to take immediate and decisive action against Amaka, a Nigerian
resident in Canada, who made inciting remarks saying she would kill Yoruba and people from Benin

In a letter signed by the Chariman, Hon. Abike Dabiri, addressed to the Honourable Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, Canada, NiDCOM expressed concern over a video circulating online, in which Amaka allegedly called for violence and killings of Yoruba and the Benin ethnic group.

The commission emphasized that Amaka’s statements are not only a threat to national security but also pose grave danger to the vulnerable populations she works with as a disability support worker in Brampton.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the commission will not tolerate hate speech or incitement to violence from any individual, regardless of their location or profession.

She however implore the Canadian Government to take immediate action to address this situation and ensure public safety.

The commission’s call to action comes amidst growing concerns about the spread of hate speech and incitement to violence globally.

The Canadian Government has been urged to investigate Amaka’s activities and take necessary measures to prevent further escalation.

Ms Amaka had made stunning remarks declaring fatwa on people of Yoruba and Benin heritage saying she would kill them.
