Plans road project to connect Enugu to Cameroon

President Bola Tinubu has approved the design of Badagry-Sokoto road project as part of his efforts to improve the economy.
In a statement by the Minister of works, Engr David Umahi, during the inspection of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project said the major roads project will improve economic development and business growth.
The Minister said the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project would be constructed within the “two-term tenure” of President Tinubu administration.
According to Umahi, the Presidency has approved the design of Badagry-Sokoto highway which is 1,000km as part of his “Renewed Hope” agenda.
He also said the government is working on another road project that will connect Enugu to Cameroon.
“We have another road project that will connect Enugu to Cameroon, Otukpo to Benue and Nasarawa,’’ he said.
According to Umahi, said part of the aims of the president is to attract foreign investors and multinationals into the country.
He clarifies that citizens whose properties will be affected due to these projects would be properly addressed.
