A political volcano has erupted in Delta State.
Irohinoodua was informed on Wednesday that the Delta State Governor, Mr Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori and all major key actors in the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) have decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC)
Our correspondent was informed that the Governor invited all his aides informing them that he was ready to move to the ruling APC. Local Government Chairmen have also been informed to prepare to move to the ruling party
This puts to an end months of speculations that main political actors in the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Delta State would soon move to the APC.
“I can confirm to you that the Delta State Governor, is on his way to the APC. Infact is used to be a matter of months, now it’s a matter of days or even hours. The formal movement to the APC will be actualised at a ceremony slated for next Monday in Asaba, the Delta State Capital” an aide of the state Governor told our correspondent
The APC has seen a gale of immigrants from both the Labour Party and the PDP.
Earlier, the Labour Party caucus in the House of Representatives lost four members to the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC)
LP lawmakers, Tochukwu Okere (Imo), Donatus Mathew (Kaduna), Bassey Akiba (Cross River), and Iyawe Esosa (Edo) left for the APC.
Daughter of the former Delta State Governor, Mr James Ibori, Erthiatake Ibori-Suenu, also shut the door behind her leaving the PDP for APC.
