Eagles faces Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania in AFCON 2025

The draw for the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations has been announced, with Nigeria’s Super Eagles being placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The tournament, set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, will feature 24 teams competing for the coveted title.
This will be Morocco’s second time hosting the competition, having previously done so in 1988.
That edition saw Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions emerge victorious, defeating Nigeria’s Super Eagles 1-0 in the final.
The AFCON 2025 schedule has been affected by FIFA’s expansion of the Club World Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
As a result, the tournament will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros Islands
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin Republic, Botswana
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
