President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the King of England, Charles 111 have met in Dubai.
The meeting, sources told Irohinoodua in Dubai discussed the economic prospect of Nigeria and other bilateral issues.
The meeting was part of efforts to foster the relationship between Nigeria and England
Tinubu met with the King of England, His Majesty, King Charles III, at the ongoing United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai.
The President noted on his X (Formally Twitter) page on Thursday.
Irohinoodua team in Dubai also watched the meeting between the two leaders during the historic meeting.
Tinubu who described King Charles III as a climate change advocate said the climate change submit would encourage an eco-friendly environment.
He said “I had a productive meeting with His Majesty, King Charles III of England who is also the Head of the Commonwealth, and a passionate climate advocate,”
“The meeting was a significant step in strengthening the partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, and I am optimistic about the positive impact our joint efforts will have on our planet’s future as we look forward to setting an equitable global standard for environmental stewardship at COP28.” He added.
However, President Tinubu will deliver a statement at the conference highlighting Nigeria’s stance on various thematic issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.
