Chinese Doctors not in Nigeria to treat Buhari, says FG

The Federal Government has debunked claims that the Chinese Doctors are in the country to treat Nigerian President Mohammed Buhari.
The central Government described the report as figments of purveyors of fake news out to undermine the Nigerian sovereignty. He spoke today during a Press conference on Abuja monitored by Irohinoodua.
The Minister of Information Mr Lai Mohammed said the Chinese Doctors came to Nigeria to share their experiences with the country on how the Asian giant tackled the COVID-19 pandemic. China is reported to have dealth effectively with the pandemic using a combination of Western and oriental medicine reducing the spread within the shortest time.
He said fake news have become an avenue employed by some people to fight the Federal Government and destroy efforts to effectively curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
Mohammed described the report by a section of online media on the visit of the Chinese Doctors as mischievous.
He said the Federal Government is monitoring the websites of fake news saying that many of them have been traced to people bent on destroying the reputation of the country’s leaders.
Speaking at the Press briefing today, the head of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Mr Boss Mustapha said the Chinese have secured an isolation later and that the visiting doctors would be monitored by the Federal Government.
He urged Nigerian publishers to publish only news that reflect the reality of the country.
