Poor Mother of twins disappears after giving birth

A woman who gave birth to twins has disappeared, leaving the two little angelic creatures.

The incidence tool place few days ago,witnesses said.

Irohinoodua was informed that the incidence tool place at the historic city of Ikere-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

The young woman, Damilola delivered the twins at the Specialist Hospital Ikere through Cesarean section (CS).

Sources said she ran away after discovering the economic challenges she needed to shoulder following the delivery of the twin

“Damilola gave birth to a set of twins at the Ikere Hospital six weeks ago but she absconded, leaving behind the two newborn babies at the facility due to the inability to pay up her medical bills and other things” a source said adding that
during the birth, her sister spent up to N250,000 because of the surgical delivery of twins before the lady disappeared from the hospital.

Her sister was said to have raised the alarm after failing to locate Damilola.

“She probably imagined the economic challenges. She has no job and I understand the husband is not working too. She was frustrated. She had no money to pay her bills” Ayo Olumide, a native of Ikere told our correspondent.

The medical bills and drugs used have piled up.

Sources said the babies at present have no source of breast milk, expected from their mother and have depreciated in weight since the incidence.

There is no breast milk to feed the babies.There is a case of sepsis and meningitis” one source.

However, a source close to the State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji said he has already sent a team to the hospital to assess the situation for possible intervention.

“We have an affectionate Governor. He has already sent a team to the hospital. The Governor will personally be interested in rescuing the woman” a source who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua.

As at press time, there were unconfirmed reports that several people have interviewed including traditional leaders in Ekiti to address the fears of the woman
