Buhari won’t address Nigerians today

By Kabir Musa, Abuja

President Mohammadu Buhari will not be addressing Nigerians today, Irohinoodua learnt this afternoon

Many Nigerians have been waiting anxiously for the President to speak to the nation today with many analysts on line prediction that the President would be speaking on fresh COVID-19 initiatives

But this afternoon, the Spokesperson for the President, Mr Femi Adesina said the report that Buhari would speak today is a speculation

He said there would be no presidential broadcast on Monday. He said any update on the pandemic should be sources from the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) during its usual briefings.

Adesina said “No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.”

Adesina’ s information was through his Monday afternoon tweet.
