Buhari meets Osinbajo in Aso rock, receive COVID-19 updates

President Mohammadu Buhari on Friday met with the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo in Aso Rock, the country’s State House.
Irohinoodua was reliably informed that an excited President Buhari received briefing from the VP who met the President for about one hour. Buhari during the meeting was said to have expressed satisfaction with the efforts being made by the State and Federal Government to tackle Coronavirus.
“The VP was in the office of the President to brief him on COVID-19 today. It is routine. The VP is responsible for giving information to the President on the efforts being made to fight the pandemic”, a source in Aso Rock told Irohinoodua.
The source claimed that Osinbajo briefed the President on efforts being made by the the VP’s Committee charged with the responsibility of monitoring the economic impact of COVID-19 on the country’s economy.
“The President and his Vice had mutual discussions. Both were concerned about the COVID-19 spread and the efforts being made by the National Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) to tame the spread of the disease” the source who does not wish to be name told our correspondent.
