The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who met the son of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) former Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has gone into self isolation. Mohammed Atiku, the son of the politician, is currently being treated after it was discovered he was CONVID-19 positive.

Irohinoodua received a statement signed by Senior Special Assistant, (Media) to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado indicating that the Governor had met Atiku’s son in the  Aero Contractors aircraft during his official trip to Lagos where both shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.

Atiku had announced through his tweeter that his son had tested positive. He has been commended by many Nigerians for coming out openly to admit the status of his son.

Gidado stated “So far, the Governor did not exhibit any symptom of the disease, but based on the recommendation of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, he will remain in isolation in order to avoid the rist of spread of the disease.”

He added “Currently, the blood sample of the Governor has been taken and is undergoing Clinical test. For the period of the clinical testing, the Governor  and his entourage will remain in isolation pending the outcome of the clinical result.”

Meanwhile, fear has gripped some people in Ibadan over speculations that Atiku’s son attended the Ibadan rally that drew thousands of people at a time the pandemic was soaring across several countries.
