Armed men kidnap RCCG pastor, passengers in Oyo

Armed men have kidnapped Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, pastor.
Cases of kidnapping have reduced since President Bola Tinubu came to power.
Some 15 passengers were also kidnapped with him on Oyo State at the weekend.
The RCCG Pastor Olugbenga Olawore, and oother passengers were seized at gunpoint in Oyo State. Sources told Irohinoodua that the kidnapped took place around 5pm on Friday.
It was gathered that the cleric and other passengers of the bus were abducted on Friday.
Olawore is a pastor at Heavens Gate Parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 73.
The Church is located at Agbara-Lusada Road in Ogun State.
The armed men struck around 5pm after flagging the bus at gun point at Maya axis of Lanlate-Eruwa Road
The occupants were marched into the bush surrounded by some seven Armed men wielding AK 47.
The team was returning from Ipapo town.
Irohinoodua was informed that the Pastor was peeparing for the burial of his mother currently in the morgue.
The pastor’s mother, Deaconess Deborah Olawore died recently.
The burial was scheduled to commence with a Christian wake slated for next Friday, April 26 with the burial fixed for May.
Police authorities in Oyo State said they were in pursuit of the armed men whose identities were yet to be known as at press time.
The Oyo State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incidence.
He said the police would track down the armed men.
