The AYCF leader said the past few months have seen consistent lies and falsehood spread against him in the social media
He cited instances where he was accused of making unpalatable remarks against Yoruba and Igbo people saying such stories were a red herring put together to destroy his popularity and acceptance among the progressive forces in the Southern area of Nigeria.
“I have been singled out for attacka by Indigenous Peoples of Biafra,(IPOB) a racist and supremacist organisation that that feed on propaganda. There have been shameful lies told against me. They claimed I threaten South East Governors over Almajiri. This is false. They claim I threaten Yoruba people. This is not true. There is a calculated attempt to set the North against the South by some war mongers.Im quite sure they will not succeed”
Shetimma said he grew up in Lagos and Port Harcourt and that over the years he has been working with progressive groups across the country for a strong and united country where peace, liberty and justice reign supreme.
He said “I urge Nigerians to ignore hate vendors and liars. I call on Nigeians to reject fake news and criminals who spread falsehood. These people represent agents of darkness..
With their fraudulent character, they can not even run a local government successfully if given the opportunity.”
Shetimma said he will not be distracted from continuing to work with responsible groups and organisations across Nigeria that are ready to move the country to a greater level of honour and prosperity
