APC rep shares face masks in Ikole LG

The Counsellor representing the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ward 12 Ikole Local Government, Hon Deji Omotoyinbo has distribute palliatives to locals to prevent COVID-19 spread.
Irohinoodua correspondent in Ekiti monitored the distribution of 5000 masks and Information Education and Communication, (IEC) materials on COVID-19 shared among youths and the elderly in the three communities that make up WARD 12.
The masks were shared among artisans, farmers, Okada Riders and members of youth organisations in the communities.
The items were shared at Iyemero, Itapaji and Itagbangba, host to many Ebira people
“The distribution of masks was aimed at helping people in my community to protect themselves from possible spread of the deadly virus”, Omotoyinbo said.
He said deadly the pandemic that is ravaging the universe has defied any cure adding that halting the spread demands a lot of personal responsibility.
Hon Omotoyinbo is also scheduled to meet with the traditional council of the Communities who he said would be asked to distribute relevant information on COVID-19 which he had printed in pamphlets.
Receiving the materials meant for members of the Traditional Council in Itapaji Ekiti, the traditional ruler of the town, His Royal Highness Oba Abdulkareem Adebanjo expressed delight at the materials saying that most people in rural communities have no access to protective materials saying that the items supplied to the community were of “strategic importance.”
Oba Adebanjo said he was impressed by Hon Omotoyinbo’s gesture who distributed the materials without consideration for the political party that beneficiaries belong.
