APC community leader congratulates Aregbesola on NUJ Award.
Interior Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has been described as one of the most honest, selfless and dedicated leaders Nigeria has ever produced.
In a statement on Monday, a leader of of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos, Prince Wale Arogundade said Aregbesola remains a source of inspiration for millions of people in Nigeria tracing his iconic image to his days as a students union leader at the Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Arogundade congratulated the immediate past governor of Osun State and now Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Aregbesola, on the award conferred on him as the South West Grand Patron by the Nigeria Union of Journalists. He said Aregbesola deserves the award based on his meritorious service to Osun and now to Nigeria as a whole.
Arogundade, who is a leader of the Mandate Movement in Mushin Local Government acknowledged that the award was a well-deserved one.
He said Aregbesola believes in the freedom of speech and has been of tremendous value to the media industry, democracy and good governance.
He attested to Aregbesola’s prowess as a first-class Nigerian politician, who, through a lot of hard work, has built global reputation and relationship with journalists across the nation.
The ceremony, which held at the NUJ Press Centre in Ibadan had dignities across South West to celebrate with the Minister.
