Amidst Coronavirus scare, thousand rally to touch late Emir’s corpse

By Samuel Ogunsona

Thousands of locals rally to touch the remains of the Emir of Kano Tafida Abubakar who died yesterday.

The Emir was said to have developed complications which eventually led to his sudden date.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rights.

However, at the burial thousands of locals milled around ecstatically to either touch or catch a glimpse of the late Emir whose body was wrapped in white linen.

Officials battled in vain to curtail the surging crowd as they jostled to touch the Emir’ s remains

This development came amidst widespread reports of Coronavirus infection in the North West State with Kano, the most famous city in the area fighting back a pandemic that already threaten her huge population.
