The people of Oke-Ero have spoken loud and clear through the democratic process, and our mandate is sacrosanct! The authentic results of the APC primary elections, witnessed by all, are as follows:
- Olusona Bunmi – 2,814 votes
- Babatunde Taye – 2,319 votes
- Fadipe James – 932 votes
However, we have been dismayed to discover that disgruntled elements within the government house, driven by a lust for power and a disregard for the people’s will, have sought to subvert our mandate. These individuals, hiding behind the cloak of authority, have brazenly presented fake results to our beloved governor, attempting to declare the loser, James Fadipe, as the winner. This is a brazen assault on our democracy and a slap in the face of our collective dignity.
We, the people of Oke-Ero, reject this travesty and demand that our governor takes immediate action to correct this injustice. We call on him to:
- Declare the authentic results, reflecting the will of the people.
- Reign in his domestic SA, SOJ Soji Obasanjo, who has been instrumental in this nefarious plot to disenfranchise us.
- Ensure that those responsible for this electoral malfeasance are held accountable.
We will not stand idly by while our democratic rights are trampled upon. We will continue to mobilize, protest, and demand justice until our mandate is restored. This is not just a matter of political victory but a fight for the soul of our democracy.
