Akintoye, Igboho take O’odua Republic rally to Lai Mohammed’s town

By Saheed Obarotimi

Supporters of O’odua Republic will on Wednesday take the agitation for Oduduwa Republic to the hometown of the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Thousands of pro-Yoruba self determination are billed to storm Oro, the ancient tow in Kwara State in continuation of the agitation for a separate nation for Yoruba people. Lai Mohammed is an indigene of the ancient town.

The organisers of the rally said Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Igboho will lead the gathering expected to draw several self determination groups from across Kwara State

“We are ready for the rally. We have mobilised our people. Oro will witness what she has not seen for decades which is public rally for Oduduwa Republic” Adio Oluwasegun a member of Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC) in Oro told Irohinoodua.

He said the Minister of Information who is an indigene of the town is helpless.

“Yoruba people are frustrated. Being a Nigerian is now a curse. The people kf Kwara State are Yoruba people. Many of us wish to see O’odua Republic in our generation, Oluwasegun said.
