Afenifere North America mourns Adebanjo
“He is fearless advocate of Justice”

The Afenifere North America Branch has issued a condolence statement on the passing of Pa Ayo Adebanjo, a revered elder statesman and fearless advocate of justice who died at 96.
In a statement signed by Chairperson of the Afenifere North America Branch,
Dr. Durojaiye Akindutire,
the organization described him as a pillar of the Afenifere sociocultural organization who dedicated his life to the defence of democracy, true federalism, and the advancement of Yoruba interests within a united and progressive Nigeria.
The statement praised Pa Adebanjo’s wisdom, courage, and principled stand on national issues, which earned him the respect of many across generations.
“His legacy will forever remain a beacon for all who believe in equity and good governance in Nigeria.” The statement reads
The Afenifere North America Branch extended heartfelt condolences to Pa Adebanjo’s family, the Afenifere leadership, the Yoruba nation, and all Nigerians who admired his steadfast commitment to a better society.
“May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire future generations,” the statement said.
