The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade has promised to work with local and international communities to retrieve stolen artefact from his ancient domain.
He expressed his commitment to ensure the return of artefacts taken from the Oyo Kingdom by British forces in 1895.

Oba Owoade further emphasized his commitment to sustaining the cultural legacy of the kingdom, promising to enhance the Sango and Oranmiyan festivals while continuing the cultural initiatives of his predecessor, the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
As part of his developmental agenda, the Alaafin-elect revealed plans to assist graduates in acquiring cybersecurity skills, addressing the growing trend of young professionals seeking opportunities abroad.
