Newsbreak: Traffic chaos on Otedola bridge as trailer tumbles

A major link from Lagos to the rest of Nigeria through the Otedola Bridge in Berger has been blocked.
Thousands of travellers are currently blocked from coming in or going out of Lagos, Nigeria’s industrial hub.
Our correspondent was informed of the chaotic scene on the Otedola Bridge in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State after an overloaded truck fell disrupting traffic along the major highway that led to the North and East of the country.
This incident occurred on Tuesday, unleashing a wave of congestion that stretched towards the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway beginning from Ojodu Berger area.
Irohinoodua was informed by eyewitnesses that the road has been blocked.
Reports of pain and anguish are reported compounded by the heavy rain flooding in the area.
Irohinoodua was informed that authorities have swiftly responded to the crisis. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) immediately initiated efforts to clear the obstruction caused by the truck.
Normalcy was yet to return as at late morning on Tuesday.
“A fatal accident involving an upturned loaded (wheat) truck that has taken a lane on Otedola bridge inw Ojodu Berger.
Traffic is a bit slow coupled with the flooded portion on the bridge.
“Effort is on for the recovery of the contents and the truck from the road,” The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) conveyed this information through its official social media account on X platform.
