New Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ariwoola takes over

A new Acting Chief Justice, Olukayode Ariwoola has been appointed for NIgeria.

Ariwoloola who is from Oyo State was  22 August 1958. Before his elevation to the Supreme Court  of Nigeria in November 2011, he was a Judge of the Court of Appeal.https://www.irohinodua.org/9162-2/

 

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) and the International Bar Association, (IBA). He is to act in acting capacity. He is expected to be sworn in by the President, Mohammadu Buhari. The new CJ replaced the former CJ who resigned on Monday following allegations of misdeeds leveled against him by 14 of his colleagues in the Supreme Court. Irohinoodua learnt that Justice Ariwoola is the most senior Judge next to Tanko Mohammad, the former Chief Justice of Nigeria
